We had to make a difficult decision and we are going to shut down Veond 😞
The last five years have been an absolutely incredible journey for us, from a simple idea presented spontaneously at an event in London in 2018, to becoming a startup that exceeded all our expectations. Veond became our life, our day-to-day, and we are proud of everything we have achieved.
What started as a vision to make plant-based lifestyle interesting and accessible to everyone quickly evolved into a commitment to the planet, human health, and animal protection. We collaborated with over 100 companies, from national startups to international giants, and developed a scalable product that made a real impact: we helped save 874,419 liters of water, 2,000 kg of CO2, and saved the lives of over 250 animals. This is what truly brings us satisfaction 💚
However, despite our best efforts, we regret to inform you that Veond will be closing its operations in Portugal and the UK from April 1st, 2023. This decision was made because we were unable to establish a viable business for the future, mainly due to limitations imposed by the size of our team, the current economic situation, and lack of investment.
We want to take this opportunity to personally thank you, and thank the over 100 partners for their continued support over the last 5 years. We hope you have enjoyed the benefits of the service we provided, the amazing gastronomic experiences we made available, the savings you made through our discounts, and the incredible brands we helped you discover 🌱.
If you still have Veond vouchers, please make sure to use them before their expiration date. From April 1st, we will no longer accept orders and the checkout will be deactivated. However, you will still be able to view our blog with over a hundred recipes and many other articles on plant-based eating, health, and sustainability.
